Jetpack is a newly formed experiment in using open Web technologies to enhance the browser, with the goal of allowing anyone who can build a Web site to participate in making the Web a better place to work, communicate and play.

Mozilla Music

The Plan:
- We get all those who can play/compose music to create a piece of music that shows the spirit of the Mozilla Community (3mins max).
- We get all those in the community who can write songs and poems together to come up with an awesome to represent the enthusiasm of the Mozilla Community.
- Get the entire community to sing and dance to the song with Mozilla logos (Firefox, Thunderbird, etc…).
- Mash it all together with some lyrics and maybe some motion graphics (in the music video).
- Release the song (after some editing) and see if it can make the charts!
So to review we would have a song, writen by, composed by, played by, and sung by the Mozilla Community. Lets make history and be the first software community to make a record that hits the charts!
EXTENTION: There is a possiblitiy of turning this into a “Dance with Firefox event”
MozAd
This was a brainwave of mine that I implemented on my blog, then… Decided to turn it into a little javascript widget. MozAd is essentially a text and image badge to promote areas of the Mozilla Project. It took about 20 minutes to create and is now ready for use. The demo and usage information is all available at www.brinkhurstdesign.co.uk/mozad. There are currently 3 adverts but I will be adding some more soon!
Mozilla Communities Theme
I have sort of fallen for this design, and as you can probably see, I use it quite a lot now. I have almost taken it under my wing as such and am working out the kinks in it as I go. So far I have made very few changes to the wordpress theme however I did find, that the mcs drupal theme did not work correctly and so I spent a while fixing some of the main issues in it. I have also created an open office template file for anyone wanting to to a Mozilla Community presentation. So feel free to download either of the two and let me know if you have any problems with them.

Mozilla UK Community
Mozilla UK is the, small yet well formed, Mozilla Community in the United Kindom. This site, is not just a community portal but is also the best foot forward at represtenting the Mozilla UK community.
This project is all about helping to create and develop the Mozilla UK community site, as well as the work that I do that is more UK oriented, rather than my usual, global community based work that I do. As this project is going to be updated quite often I have created a special page, right here, on this blog, but you have to click this link to get to it for the first time. I am not going to be putting it in my main navigation.
